<a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/183780#profileId-202639" rel="nofollow noopener">Dummy13</a> may not have the right stuff to go to the moon, but that's OK, it's a robot (I think). With this astronaut remix, Dummy13 will be ready to be strapped to a rocket for a trip to the moon and beyond. For some reason I included a backpack and a helmet, but don't over think it (I didn't). Maybe the pack is for extra batteries or something? In any case Dummy13 will look just like a real astronaut, while performing those dangerous one way missions to places humans dare not go.&nbsp;This is a single color printer friendly remix, of my Dummy 13 <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/189438" rel="nofollow noopener">Astronaut </a>suit. It's also of course, a remix of Soozafone's awesome <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/183780#profileId-202639" rel="nofollow noopener">Dummy 13</a> model.&nbsp;This single color version includes a helmet with a separate visor (and optional stripe). Since it's split, the helmet can be printed in different colors and assembled. &nbsp;<h3>There is now an Astronaut Tools Kit available, with some tools and extra hands, which you can find <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/206949#profileId-240171" rel="nofollow noopener">here</a>.</h3>&nbsp;Big thanks to Soozafone (aka <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/u/3527201093" rel="nofollow noopener">Lucky 13 Toys</a>) for sharing the awesome <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/183780#profileId-202639" rel="nofollow noopener">Dummy13</a> model, which this is remixed from! If this remix is not for you, the Dummy 13 model, and it's other remixes are definitely worth a look (and a like).&nbsp;If you want to add a cool “Photon Cannon” for your Astronaut, check out <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/@ntdesign" rel="nofollow noopener">ntdesign</a>'s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/758978-dummy-13-lamp-250-scale" rel="nofollow noopener">DUMMY 13 Lamp (250% scale)</a>.&nbsp;Printing and other stuff:&nbsp;The parts here are designed for regular single color printers. I've included BambuStudio 3mf files based on a Bambu X1C profile (though it should work with P1S and P1P also). The 3mf file is set up to print with painted supports on the helmet and other settings. Supports are required on the helmet and the visor, but the other parts can print without supports. I left the layer height as 0.2mm on all parts in the .3mf files, but the helmet uses adaptive layers (smooth). Using adaptive layers is optional, but will make it look nicer.&nbsp;Thanks to a tip by <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/@Hot_Glue_Sti_1029509" rel="nofollow noopener">MK4_Expert</a>, I re-printed my frame parts in PETG after the PLA frame joints became loose, and the PETG seems to be much better at keeping it's position - so I'd recommend printing the frame parts in PETG if possible.&nbsp;Some superglue will be needed to glue the visor to the helmet, and a dab may also help on the helmet stipe insert and backpack (if you want that to be permanent).&nbsp;If you find these models useful, please post a like or a comment with some pics of your prints.You can find the other things I'm working on at my blog <a target="_blank" href="https://www.mystoopidstuff.com/blog" rel="nofollow noopener">here</a>.
