Designer, Digital Fabrication specialist, Educator @ Fablab Shanghai
I have been one of the initiator of the Italian’s maker movement, helping to give birth to the first two Fablabs in Rome. Following graduation from Fab Academy in 2015, I became a local instructor and a global mentor for the class. Since 2016 I am the Director of Courses and then Vice-Director of Fablab Shanghai in Tongji University’s College of Design and Innovation, serving as an instructor and community manager and conducting researches on digital fabrication, design education and physical ideation.
I wanted to go back at Grasshopper, play around with it to see if I still remember how to use it after several years of inactivity... at the same time, I wanted a nice pot for our house's succulent that didn't require sitting on a tray... so I made a hidden tray pot: still can be watered and drain excess water, but looking like no tray is there. Because it looks somewhat like a Pineapple, I called it Ananas Vase (ananas is pineapple in italian). Please: put it on your shelves, not on your pizza!
