We all have pile of 3D print waste sitting around somewhere, so when I came across this filament recycling contest a few days ago, I decided to give it a try. I started this project with two main constraints in mind: - keep it simple, meaning no supports and minimal filament usage - make it genuinely practical Recycling 3D printing waste is challenging due to its irregular and inconsistent shapes. Most of the ideas I initially had were already taken, so I shifted my approach. Instead of using the poop as the main object, I decided to turn them into a supporting role. That's how I came up with this idea. A plant note holder with 3D print poops acting as the soil. Initially I also wanted to design a plant pot to complete the look. However, since the point of this contest is to recycle/repurpose waste, I’ve decided to go with a recycled container.
