Inspired by my dishwasher which had its factory plastic utensil holder crumble from age, I now use this replacement to wash my cutlery. The IKEA ORDNING doubles as a decent dishwasher cutlery holder: is stainless steel, has side perforations to let water jets in, and holes in the base to let water drain out. But - when the utensils bunched up together, they never seemed to get clean. This little grid lid keeps the utensils spaced apart, and now I get clean cutlery each cycle.
