I wanted to make a Detroit Style pizza as a bricks minifig stand when I couldn't find an existing model. The bottom is completely flat with no brick interfaces, but the top has 8x10 conventional brick studs. I went overboard with 5 colors, but this can be easily adapted to 4 or few, especially with less detail on the toppings and single color crust.
