I designed this model based on the concept of a mousetrap car and submitted it to the SkillsUSA Additive Manufacturing competition, where it earned third place. A lot of people assumed I was a college student, which made me proud. it felt great to know I had created something truly worthwhile. The mechanism works just like a traditional mousetrap car, only scaled down: you attach a rubber band to the lever, wind it around the rear axle, and then release it to set the car in motion.
