I was looking for a way to stack multiple AMS on top of each other. There were several systems here on MakerWorld, but there were a few problems with them that I didn't like. Most importantly is that they weren't actually “stacking” systems. They let you put one AMS on top of another, but they could not stack beyond that. You could not stack a third, or even a fourth AMS in a single column. So I decided to make my own completely modular system that allows you to stack as many AMS you want!&nbsp;This system is sectioned off into 124mm “blocks”. There are two included wall heights, a “1-block” and a “2-block” wall. This allows you to raise your AMS to any height you want, at multiples of 124mm. If you want to simply put one AMS on top of another, you could print out walls in 3-blocks of height (2+1). This will allow enough space for you to slide the bottom AMS out in order to change filaments (like other AMS stacking systems). However, if wanted to be able to open the bottom AMS lid without having to slide it out, you would print out walls in 4-blocks (2+2) of height. Even more customizable, if you have under-AMS drawer systems, and you needed even more height between your AMS, you could print additional blocks of height to raise the top AMS even more!&nbsp;The “arms” that hold up the AMS are completely modular, and can be attached and removed at will. This has the advantage of being able to change arms without having to reprint your entire walls. So if your AMS breaks, and you buy a new one, and it turns out there is yet another new revision of the AMS, you can simply print out new arms that match the revision.&nbsp;<figure class="media"><div data-oembed-url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUU1KRgZpPQ"><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom: 100%; height: 0; padding-bottom: 56.2493%;"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tUU1KRgZpPQ" style="position: absolute; width: 100%; height: 100%; top: 0; left: 0;" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div></div></figure>&nbsp;I have designed this model to be as easy and simple to print, with as little support material as possible. The included print profile has parts oriented in specific ways to minimize the chance of breakage due to lateral force, so part tension does not split at layer lines. There are several pre-defined plates:<ul><li>Plate 1:<ul><li>2x 2-block wall<ul><li>These models have support enforcers on the arm sockets.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 2:<ul><li>2x 1-block wall<ul><li>These models have support enforcers on the arm sockets.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 3:<ul><li>2x Rear Bracers<ul><li>Optional: if you want to have some extra rigidity to your stack to prevent “wobble”.</li><li>This system uses the AMS as a bracer. You want at least two sets of bracers on your stack.</li></ul></li><li>4x Dovetail Biscuits<ul><li>Connect the bracers to the rear of the walls.</li></ul></li><li>1x AMS (rear) Bracket<ul><li>This connects the AMS to a rear bracer, if you decided to print one.</li><li>This model is oriented at a 45 degree angle for strength.</li></ul></li><li>1x AMS (rear) Bracket Lock<ul><li>Locks the rear bracket in place so the middle pin doesn't shift.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 4:<ul><li>2x AMS (side) Bracket<ul><li>These connect the AMS to the side walls through arm sockets.</li><li>These models are oriented at a 45 degree angle for strength.</li><li>Print these out in sets of two, one for each side of the AMS.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 5:<ul><li>2x 2-block Blank<ul><li>Purely cosmetic, so things look nicer when you have rear bracers.</li><li>If you don't use rear bracers, then you don't need these blanks.</li></ul></li><li>8x Dovetail Biscuits<ul><li>Connect the blanks to the rear of the walls.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 6:<ul><li>2x 1-block Blank<ul><li>Purely cosmetic, so things look nicer when you have rear bracers.</li><li>If you don't use rear bracers, then you don't need these blanks.</li></ul></li><li>4x Dovetail Biscuits<ul><li>Connect the blanks to the rear of the walls.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Plate 7:<ul><li>1x Blank (rear) Bracket<ul><li>A connector to attach both ends of a bracer if you printed a rear bracer without an AMS.</li><li>This model is oriented at a 45 degree angle for strength.</li></ul></li><li>4x Connector - Dowel<ul><li>Optional to keep your walls together when you stack them.</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>I have included some additional STLs that you can peruse at your leisure, but they are not on plates.&nbsp;You can find other models I have released for the X1C/AMS here:<a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/u/2811301167/collections/109412" rel="nofollow noopener">https://makerworld.com/en/u/2811301167/collections/109412</a>&nbsp;If you appreciate my models, please consider <a target="_blank" href="https://ko-fi.com/ultrajaxel" rel="nofollow noopener">buying me a coffee</a>!
