<p>This is a set of four melted snowmen coasters for no other reason than the idea made me laugh and I had to make them.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li><strong>Print time:</strong> ~1 hour for one, ~2hr 50m for all four</li><li>Pre-painted and AMS ready</li><li>No snowmen were actually harmed</li></ul><h3>Trouble? Questions? Comments? Please don't hesitate to get in touch!</h3><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/381928/2023-11-11_703fd42c6fddf.png"></figure><h2>Important Printing Information</h2><ul><li><strong>Orientation:</strong> These coasters are designed to be printed face-down on a textured plate. Both orientations are included in the .3mf file so you can choose the one that fits your needs.</li><li><strong>Flush (Purge) Values: </strong>I've optimized the flush values for my own colours; you may need to recalculate depending on your colour choices</li><li><strong>Keep it clean: </strong>Please make sure your plate is properly clean so details have the best chance to stay put and not get dragged around</li><li><strong>Slow down first layer: </strong>Similarly, I recommend a first layer speed of 15 mm/s. It can add anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes to print time but I find it's a worthwhile trade off as the success rate for a clean print increases.</li></ul><h2>Print Settings</h2><p>The .3mf files include my recommended print settings. A lot of these changes from default are due to gap filling purposes to produce a cleaner looking design.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Here they are in detail with an explanation of why I chose them.</p><ul><li><strong>Nozzle size:</strong> 0.4 mm</li><li><strong>Plate type:</strong> Textured PEI <i>(the texture looks nice and allows the filament to squish to fill gaps)</i></li><li><strong>Layer height:</strong> 0.2 mm</li><li><strong>Elephant Foot Compensation:</strong> 0</li><li><strong>First layer flow ratio:</strong> 1.1 <i>(I found this gave a better first layer squish and helped fill in gaps)</i></li><li><strong>Sparse Infill: </strong>15% Gyroid</li><li><strong>First layer speed:</strong> 15 mm/s<i> (slow to prevent small details from coming loose from the plate)</i></li><li><strong>Outer wall speed:</strong> 30 mm/s<i> (there is a fillet around the edge that will look better with a slow outer wall speed)</i></li><li><strong>Brim:</strong> none</li></ul><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/381928/2023-11-11_703fd42c6fddf.png"></figure><h2>About the model</h2><p>Sometimes I like to take a break from complicated projects and do something silly. Now I&#39;ve seen some similar AMS risers before, but none of them really wowed me.. i think..</p><p>That&#39;s why I decided to come up with this sleek BLV AMS Riser design, easy to use, easy to put together, and reliable. I even added two handy drawers for your tools and stuff, a special shelf that can hold up to 4pcs Build Plates, built-in Dual LED strips. Sure, it took me a while, but I got it (almost..) done.</p><p>As some of you may know, I love contributing to this wonderful community, which is why I chose to share with you my project without any fee or money.
