The “Lid Lift” Just got Updated!&nbsp;Version 2 New Update<ul><li>Embedded magnets for storing on the side or back of your Bambu Printer! See Photos.</li><li>Always handy when you need them and simple to remove and store when you don't</li></ul>Note: You need to pause the print two layers before completion to insert TWO 10mmx3mm rare earth magnets. This is your responsibility as the Print Profiles will not do this for you. If you don't want to use this magnetic feature, don't pause the print.&nbsp;The “Lid Lift” vents the chamber for printing PLA and PETG filament. Fits with and without a lid lifter. Have you been leaving the front door open to vent the chamber? Me too, and I was always worried someone would walk by and hit the front door, breaking it. As seen in the photos, this Lid Lift wedge supports the glass from the front all the way to the front feet of the AMS. This helps support and protect the glass by distributing the weight of the AMS with up to 4kg of filament! &nbsp;Bonus: Simple to install and remove as needed without removing the AMS. &nbsp;Note: I recommend NOT using the lid's knob to lift the glass when installing and removing. <h2>Update : I added the money clip There is now a version with and without money clip in the back.</h2>&nbsp;This is the second version of my cascade card wallet, featuring a similar appearance but thoroughly revamped.<h4>Filaments used in the pictures : <a target="_blank" href="https://formfutura.com/?aff=7" rel="nofollow noopener">Li</a><a target="_blank" href="https://formfutura.com/product/refill-petg/?aff=7" rel="nofollow noopener">nk</a></h4><ul><li>FormFutura Refill PETG Light Grey</li><li>FormFutura Refill PETG Iron Grey</li></ul>Here are the key updates:<ol><li>The new version can accommodate 6 cards, compared to 5 in the previous iteration.</li><li>The popup mechanism is now easier to detach from the printer, eliminating the need for holes in the back to crack open the mechanism.</li><li>The retention mechanism has been entirely redesigned to secure cards from the top rather than the side. <figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:34.11%;"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/696022/2024-03-12_f4af98eab96a6.gif"></figure>The aim was to design a Centering tool that:<ol><li>had no need for hardware (i.e. was fully printable),</li><li>was adjustable to make it suitable for various material stock widths,</li><li>that also included a second function that would make it more versatile.</li></ol>Other similar printed tools only seem to offer the one of these functions, and a lot of those focused purely on centering are ‘fixed’ and so become cumbersome on smaller stock sizes. Those that do adjust often use metal fasteners requiring tools.&nbsp;And so this design is the result of my efforts to solve the above and make a great multipurpose tool. I hope you like it!&nbsp;***Update 12/03/2024***: Imperial version added as many have asked for this, so there are now 2 print profiles to choose from ……“Metric” & "Imperial". I have also taken the opportunity to slightly reposition the number text to better align with the notches which should avoid any confusion when using these.<figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:50.08%;"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/696022/2024-03-12_b468c9f94b7b.gif"><figcaption>Centre Marking GIF</figcaption></figure>&nbsp;&nbsp;Function #1 - Centre Marking:&nbsp;The two knurled shoulder bolts (yep - fully 3D printable) can be screwed into whichever pair of holes best suits the width of material (Note: when spaced at the furthest setting the tool can span a width of 125mm max).&nbsp;Its then a simple case of sliding the tool along the length of the material with one shoulder bolt over each edge. Tip: apply a slight twisting force to keep the shoulder bolts ‘pinned’ against the sides while you do so.&nbsp;A pencil / pen can be used to mark through the conical hole, located centrally on the tool, which will prevent your line from wandering out of position. See animation.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:50.04%;"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/696022/2024-03-12_fd61218b72569.gif"><figcaption>Edge Marking GIF</figcaption></figure>Function #2 - Edge Offset Marking:&nbsp;So this tool also incorporates stepped notches from 5-25mm (at 5mm increments). Allows quick marking out / scribing of measurements in from the edge of your material. Standing Nerf target that can be printed in various sizes to allow for different point allocations. The 3MF file has the colouring in a way where you don't need an AMS, and even if you do it prints much faster. &nbsp;We love these around the house and hope you do to!
