I print in my garage, and try to keep the printer closed to mitigate dust as much as possible inside the printers. When printing with the door closed, I would frequently experience heat creep, in the nozzle and the extruder. This fan spacer will effectively eliminate heat creep issues in your X1/P1 printers.
