This is just my honest opinion: I love 3D printing and creating projects. But I think MakerWorld turned out boring and I don't like how they've changed the platform.
First of all, I'm fed up with crowdfunding. Why is everything crowdfunded now? I'm not going to explain what crowdfunding should be, but when you've already made something, why do you need more money? Just create a "Designs for Sale" section or something similar.
And about reward points: they removed ratings, so now when you print something, you don't get points for reviewing it. So why would anyone rate a model if they don't get anything for doing so? That means fewer comments or reviews on models. That means less motivation to create if you don't get any feedback or comments.
So yes, sorry if this post seems negative, but that's how I feel after being here for two years: less motivation to print and create things.
