🎉 Just joined the #BambuLetsMakeIt contest with one of my designs – BambuLab A1 (and A1 Mini) X-Axis Cover. It’s a small upgrade for your machine, but it helps extend the life of your printer in the long run, by keeping dust out of your linear rail ball bearings. How did I come up with the idea? Just a week after buying my first Bambulab A1 3D printer, I noticed a surprising amount of dust already building up on the rail, it was mixing with the lubricant oil. As a mechanical engineer, I knew that kind of grime wouldn’t do the motion system any favors in the long run. (Where I work for many years, we always order linear guide rails with wipers to keep dust and debris from mixing with the lubricant and damaging the system over time.) So I designed a solution: a compact, foldable anti-dust cover that’s easy to use, space-saving, and helps protect your printer’s mechanics from unnecessary wear. A simple idea with a lasting benefit.
