This is something I always thought should already exist, but I've never been able to find anywhere. So I finally got around to making it myself.The idea is really simple: I wanted a travel container for my brushes that doubled as a paint brush cup. I needed this for oil paint brushes, which have long handles and can be difficult to find container for. But while I was at it, I figured I'd make additional sizes for standard handle brushes, pencils and pens. The lid twists off and fits over the bottom, providing a sturdy base that you can set down and use directly as a brush cup. As a bonus, this keeps the lid out of the way and prevents it from getting lost. To avoid damaging the brush bristles, make sure to gather the bristles together when closing the tube. There are ventilation holes in the tops of the brush variants, allowing for storage of wet brushes. These are a really easy print. No supports required. Infill and perimeters are largely irrelevant. Just print, pull them off, and go.I printed most of mine in Silk PLA which is somewhat impractical - silk PLA isn't as strong and I'm just going to get paint on them. But I couldn't help myself. They look really great. And they seem really sturdy.

There is a seam that acts as a guide for how far to fill. Don't fill over this line or water will be pushed out through the top!<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/323633/2023-12-29_f7d43224f4262.gif"><figcaption>The base acts as a reservoir of water - fill to just below the seam then place your plant on top</figcaption></figure>&nbsp;When you're planting your herb in the top half, it is recommended to use a wicking material at the very bottom. This helps to slowly absorb water into the soil and roots. You can place a couple of cotton balls / cotton wool in the bottom of the pot to do this. Then fill with soil, and your herb of choice.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/323633/2023-12-29_d13556ba7b91.gif"><figcaption>Place cotton wool into the bottom of the pot to act as a wicking material.</figcaption></figure>&nbsp;&nbsp;<h3>PRINT SETTINGS</h3>Use the designer profiles to ensure the base is water-tight, or you'll risk water seeping through the print! If you're looking to adjust the profile, or build your own - these are the key settings to maintain ensure there are no leaks:<ul><li>Infill overlap: 50%</li><li>Walls: 3</li><li>Top shell layers: 5</li></ul>Additional profiles have been provided to batch print, or print using a single plate and color.
