I’ve been working on a new design for a utensil cuff. The most challenging part has been finding a way to grip the utensils in a reliable and repeatable way.  This solution uses a soft TPU that forms and grips to the utensil. The soft TPU rubber is embedded into the more rigid PETG plastic that holds firmly onto your hand.  I print each piece separate then insert the TPU into the cuff with a pause at layer 130 in the G code. Would love to see someone print this on a tool changer!

I designed this model for a few reasons. The first reason was to make it easier to turn on and improve accessibility. The second reason was to improve airflow and reduce the amount of dust being sucked into the fans. The final reason was to reduce clutter and add storage space. Each curve on the stand serves as a shelf for external hard drives, cell phone, keys, or any other common items that pile up on the desk.
