I made this to practice designing the holes for threaded inserts. The trick is to make the hole deep enough to allow your inserts to be melted in without having too much plastic melt into the threads and stop your screw going in, but also having the hole shallow enough for the insert to melt into the plastic and prevent itself from dislodging and spinning with your screws. In this case, 2.5mm deep seems like the perfect size to accommodate the 5mm long insert. THE MORE YOU KNOW! <3

This project reminds me of those old attachments for the Gameboy Color. If I could print a magnifying screen for my accessory rail system, I totally would. So far, I got a really strong magnetic phone mount as an accessory for this grip/case, but I'm itching to design some more stuff to throw on. Maybe a hotdog holder? If I still smoked, I'd totally make an ashtray attachment. Don't smoke kids. But if you're here hunting for a retro gaming case, you're probably over 30 too XD
