another day another failure... sometimes progress is painful. this took an entire day to print only for all off of the hinges to seize up and fail... back to fusion 360 with me I guess...

So I purchased a 3d model from Cults and I liked it but wanted to modify it, unfortunately files to mod it weren't available, only stls and 3mf, so I made my own version (with some improvements) and then made a modified version (with my improvements and some other changes) that is not offered by the original author. My question is, since I made my own version without using any of their files is it my model? Or is it still considered a remix since they gave me the original idea? Can I upload it to makerverse or should I just keep it for personal use?
