Y-Splitter for Bambu printers, and any other need for a PTFE Y-Splitter!<ul><li>Highly Optimized to work well, I've printed many hundreds of hours with mine fitted, including prints with hundreds (if not thousands) of filament changes each, and never had one problem.</li><li>Threaded for PC4-M10 PTFE Fittings</li></ul>&nbsp;Please Note: Whilst it is possible to print faster (using thicker layer lines or faster print speeds, as per the un-official print profiles), this can and likely will affect performance as it'll affect how smooth the print and the surfaces are inside the filament guides. Please print with the profiles I supplied (Marked, ‘Designer’), I've heavily tested my profiles and can't guarantee that other profiles will perform as I've described.&nbsp;What does it do?Allows you to connect 2 sources of filament (eg AMS and external spool) without needing to swap over PTFE tubes each time you switch between them.<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/425825/2023-12-20_7204c17ade4a1.gif"></figure>&nbsp;Why this one?I had tried a number of the popular options around, but found I was often getting filament caught inside it or jammed and it was never something I could rely on to run my AMS through due to the frequent filament changes. This has taken weeks to refine, and have gone through multiple printed revisions, each one undergoing testing and further refinement and I finally landed on this one. I've done a number of tests and have printed several prints with this connected, each with 50-100 filament changes with zero problems.&nbsp;&nbsp;How do I use it?The splitter has an IN end and an OUT end. The IN end has two holes, they are both the same and you can run any filament source into either.The OUT end has just one hole and that should lead to your printer.&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:54.89%;"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/425825/2023-12-20_4a06552709c68.jpg"></figure>&nbsp;Each hole is threaded to take a PC4-M10 PTFE pneumatic mount (the push clips that PTFE tubes slot into).If you need to buy more, <a target="_blank" href="https://amzn.to/485ed5s" rel="nofollow noopener">these are high qualty reliable PC4-M10s</a>.&nbsp;Once your PC4-M10's are screwed in, slot in your PTFE tubes. The PTFE tubes going into the two IN holes you can push in pretty much as far as you want too (I'd advise not as far as they'll go but maybe 2-3mm before that).&nbsp;The PTFE tube going into the OUT hole however is important that you push that all the way in.As you can see below, a special recess has been designed for the PTFE tube to slot into and it needs to push all the way down into this hole to ensure the inner diameter lines up with the feed hole for the filament. It's also important to make sure your PTFE tube are cut neatly and straight.<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/425825/2023-12-20_433cca5fe97d7.gif"></figure>&nbsp;&nbsp;Mounting You have three options for mounting. I've designed and included two mounts specifically for the Easy Split (detailed below), but you can also just leave it free. I personally have mine connected up and it needs no mount (as pictured), but it depends how and where you'll want to use yours.<ul><li>Fixed Mount: The Easy Split slots onto this mount and it holds it in a single position.</li><li>Swivel / Rotate Mount: The Easy Split slots onto this mount and it allows free rotation whilst fitted. It can be good if you'll want to swing it depending on if you're connecting your external source or not.</li></ul>Both versions are available with holes cut for 8x3 magnets, or 10x2 magnets.&nbsp;I've included a profile which contains all 4 mounts, with each one on it's own plate, so you can just print the one you want from that (or via the included STLs). Print Settings I highly recommend printing from the official profile included above as there has been a lot of tweaks made to ensure this performs correctly. If you want to slice it yourself though, here's the core settings:<ul><li>Layer Height: 0.08mm</li><li>Wall Loops: 4</li><li>Infill: 15% Gyroid</li><li>Outer Wall Speed: 45-100mm/s</li><li>Material: PLA</li></ul>&nbsp;Tips<ul><li>Ensure your PTFE tubes are cut cleanly and straight</li><li>Print using my profiles (Marked with the ‘Designer’ tag) which I've printed, altered and optimized many times, and heavily tested, to ensure it functions as designe .</li><li>Although I have included a profile I've optimized for PETG, I'd advise printing in PLA. PLA has zero performance issues for this item and due to the artifacting that some people experience when printing with PETG, PLA will often perform better in this specific case.</li><li>The mounts are only optional and should only be used if you need it fitted in a suitable place. I personally have it hanging free (as pictured)</li><li>Whilst adhesion shouldn't be a problem with this design, 2 of the 1200 people who have downloaded the primary profile have mentioned they've experienced adhesion issues, so I've added an additional profile which should help aleviate these issues. I'd suggest trying the main profile ("Highly Optimized (PLA)") first though.</li></ul>

Update February 5, 2024&nbsp;Added a new set of spacers in Voronoi pattern. Available in 3, 6 and 12 mm widths. These are currently untested as all my printers are busy with a big project but they should work.&nbsp;Update August 1, 2023&nbsp;A few people have requested this so I've added more center rings.&nbsp;There are now center rings available for spools with an inner diameter between 40 and 95 mm. The 40 mm is so slim you may need to lower the extrusion width or use a 0.2 mm nozzle.&nbsp;If any other size is required just leave a comment. The solid spool have embedded letters you can paint in a different filament color if you like (use the paint bucket tool in the slicer).&nbsp;About&nbsp;The Hydra AMS - Universal Spool Adapter is developed specifically for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/392134-hydra-ams-enhanced-bambu-lab-ams" rel="nofollow noopener">Hydra AMS</a> but will also work well for the standard Bambu Lab AMS. If you use very narrow spools with this however, Hydra AMS will work a lot better as the feeders are tilted back a little compared to stock.One of the main benefits of the Hydra AMS is that it allows a wide variety of spool diameters, both small and large diameter spools as well as wider spools with a spool width up to 75 mm.&nbsp;But one issue remains - very narrow spools such as certain 250g sample spools and some 500g spools as well. Another issue is the more and more common cardboard spools, these are not ideal to be used in an AMS for a few reasons, cardboard debris, causing less grip on the front rollers and dirt inside the feeders and tubes. I usually recommend adding some electrical tape to the edge, it works well. But you can also use this new adapter I've developed. It's compatible with spools up to 69 mm wide with Hydra AMS as it adds 6 mm to the total spool width.&nbsp;I ordered a bunch of odd sized spools just to develop this mod as it's often requested.&nbsp;So what makes this different from other spool adapters?&nbsp;Features<ul><li>It adds weight to the spool, reducing the chance of the spool jumping up and jamming.</li><li>You can fill it with silica gel to keep the spool dry. One spool adapter holds around 20g of silica gel beads. It's more than sufficient, especially when paired with the front mounted <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/455176-hydra-ams-silica-dry-boxes-serial-number-tags" rel="nofollow noopener">Hydra AMS - Silica Gel Boxes</a>.</li><li>It's Universal, just print a couple of center rings matching the inner diameter of the spool you're using.</li><li>It allows printing of narrow 250g sample spools and narrow 500g spools that would normally jam against the clear cover of the AMS feeder.</li><li>You can use it with cardboard spools as a raised spool edge around it. As the spool diameter of this is 201 mm, it's a little larger than most cardboard spools so it would run on the printed part in the AMS instead of the actual cardboard rim.</li></ul>What to Print&nbsp;Print the following parts in the direction I have set them, no supports are needed:<ul><li>hydra-ams-universal-spool-adapter-hex-bottom.3mf</li><li>hydra-ams-universal-spool-adapter-hex-top.3mf</li><li>hydra-ams-universal-spool-adapter-lid.3mf</li></ul><blockquote>(You can use the Voronoi or Solid spool types instead if you prefer)</blockquote>Next, measure the inner diameter of the spool you are using and print a couple of the center rings matching that diameter, rounded down to the nearest millimeter.For example, if your spool's inner diameter is 52.3 mm, print two of these:<ul><li>hydra-ams-52mm-center-ring.3mf</li></ul>The center rings make sure the spool is perfectly centered and aligned on the Universal Spool Adapter. There are center rings for spools with a spool center diameter between 40 and 95 mm.Also, if you have a very narrow spool (less than around 40 mm) you should use the spool spacers to widen the track so it does not hit the clear cover of the AMS front feeder. Hydra AMS - Universal Spool Adapter

This is a replacement for the stock TPU gasket for the <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/19535#profileId-19420" rel="nofollow noopener">BLV AMS riser</a> by <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/u/4047283342" rel="nofollow noopener">BenLevi</a>, but with built in downward facing LED strip holders.&nbsp;The BLV riser itself does technically have LED slots in it, but they can only be used with certain types and sizes of LED strips, they have to be fitted when you&#39;re putting the riser together, and they are facing inwards rather than down at the print bed.&nbsp;This mod fits into the same place as the stock TPU gasket but features an extension that sticks out over the print area with a mount to hold LED lighting strip facing down (which also means you don&#39;t get glare from the LEDs facing up).&nbsp;Different Sizes There are 3 different sizes available, designed for different size LED strips.<ul><li>Thin: LED strips up to 5mm wide</li><li>Standard: LED strips up to 8mm wide</li><li>Large: LED strips up to 12mm wide</li></ul>Print Settings<ul><li>Material: TPU (I used Bambu TPU95A)</li><li>Infill: 15% Rectilinear (I usually prefer Gyroid but rectilinear works better here)</li><li>Walls: 3</li><li>Layer Height: 0.16mm</li><li>Supports: None</li></ul>Wiring The stock BLV AMS riser does in theory have a very small pass through hole at the bottom at the back for wires for LEDs, but it&#39;s far too small and not well positioned. I found the best thing to do is to carefully drill a 3.5mm hole (if you haven&#39;t already printed, you can just use a ‘<a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ5dqHZQ2p4" rel="nofollow noopener">negative volume</a>’ to add this into the print).&nbsp;You&#39;ll want 1m total of LED strips, split into two 50cm pieces.
