Just a silly 'lil neurospicy academic really into learning 3D printing.
The models I make tend to be oriented towards niche situations facing me in my everyday work and hyper fixations. Expect keyboards, home automation, pen and paper stuff, literature management, ergonomic home improvement, occasional TTRPG terrain. Stuff like that.

I finally - FINALLY - managed to design, assemble and upload this project. It's not groundbreaking in any way but it's certainly the most massive in scope DIY creation I've ever made. What do you think??

Tuned settings for stack printing! Print in PETG and separate models with two layers of PLA and they separate super easily when the print is finished. I have used theses settings for MultiBoard stacks and for completely flat free hanging surfaces with good results. Have fun printing!

Pen and paper need to make a comeback! Do you agree?
I'm a researcher and I've been working with analogue notes and literature for about a year and a half now, and I honestly believe it's made me think better. What's your take?

Might not be the BEST solution, but it is A solution, and that'll have to do for now lol. What do you think?

I finally made an easy handle for my enclosure door. The magnets keep everything shut and air tight. One step closer to printing with ASA on my A1 :D

Has anyone tried starting seeds in paper rolls like this? It's my first time trying this year (which is why I designed these pots) :D

I live in a modest rental flat and work as a junior academic in the humanities. in orher words, space, time, and cash are pretty scarce commodites for me. I've DIY-ed or upcycled basically every aspect of my workshop (which, as you can see, has to share storage space with my research literature).
My Bambu Lab A1 lives in an enclosure in my kitchen, which I cobbled together using two IKEA LACK tables, my self designed table legs, and the leftovers of a wall that the previous renter had built between the bedroom and living room. Even if it looks really janky, the setup is pretty well functioning, especially since it isolates most of the sound that the printer makes. Mounting the AMS lite ouside the enclosue also makes filament switching less cumbersome than having the whole thing on the inside (I tried that before and boy howdy was it annoying).
The next step in my workshop progress is to design an adapter for the ventilation port by the enclosure, so I can vent fumes/paeticles and keep temps down when printing in PLA! I'm also going to get a tabletop attached with hinges to my shelves, so I can flip it up when not in use. There's going to be a chalkboard on its bottom side, which will be really convenient for sketching 3D print designs!
