This print-in-place jewelry box is an exercise in extreme bridging. The built-in truss work on the underside of the drawers and top allow this to be printed without supports. It also uses the usual print-in-place tricks to allow the drawers to break free easily after printing.For the faint-of-heart, I've also included separate drawer, base and top parts that can be printed and assembled separately. Of course, with this version you will lose your print-in-place bragging rights...<h3>Print Settings</h3>Printer Brand:MakerGearPrinter: <div>M2</div>Rafts:NoSupports: <div>No</div>Resolution:0.2mmInfill: <div>20%</div>Notes:This is designed specifically for 0.2mm layer printing. Also, using just 2 perimeter shells and 0.4mm line width will make it easier for most slicers to generate proper bridging.If the print in place version (round12.stl) is giving you fits, you can instead print 12 separate drawers (drawer12.stl), one base (base12.stl) and one top (top.stl).<h3>Post-Printing</h3>To get the drawers to open, use a single-sided razor blade to cut free the gap at the top and bottom of each drawer stack. You may need to wiggle the drawers some to get them liberated. Depending on how well your slicer and printer did with the bridging, you may end up with some loose strands on the bottoms of the drawers that need to be trimmed off.With the non-print-in-place version, simply slide 3 drawers over each post and then fit the top onto the posts. Hello. Made some Nordic style paracord beads. The size is roughly 18mm x 11.5mm. The hole size is 5.3mm, The beads are big enough to fit one 5/32" paracord. If you need to fit more than one I would scale it slightly bigger. I will have other Nordic bead symbols on my page. Please feel free to check them out! Any comments are appreciated thank you.

Update: 22/12/23Uploaded a cover (shroud) for the slide per request from user. I haven't print tested this component yet, but it should print as per the image and the .3mf file using 0.28mm layer height in PLA, with outer brim and supports touching build plate only.Also updated the v2 3mf files with better settings to improve print quality.&nbsp;Update: 9/12/23 v2After receiving my printer, I realised the CAD file I used to get the dimensions of the printer didn't include the feet… The updated v2 files now contain a floor for the slide piece which matches the bottom of the printer so that it's not floating in mid air. As a bonus, you also get slightly more volume in the bin!I also added a small hole for hex key access to more easily secure the slide to the printer.Also updated the handle for a better fit.-----------------------------------This is my first published model.The design was heavily inspired by cm3dshop.de, but was built from the ground up so I could practice my CAD skills.The slide should affix to the back of the printer using spare screws that come with the printer in the location highlighted in the image (for the X1C and P1S only). The screw below the chute can be replaced by one of the screws from the scraper that came with the printer and the one nearest the left wall can be replaced with any M3 bolt (like the one from the extruder or spool holder). This idea was taken from another model - I will edit to give credit once I find it again.Sliced with variable layer heights to ensure smooth ramp and detailing.Having print tested the slide, variable layer heights work well, and a support threshold angle of 25 works well for PETG (and I assume PLA), with normal auto supports. You can manually exclude supports for the two holes as it isn't needed.<ul><li>Infill: 15%</li><li>Layer height: variable</li><li>Walls: minimum 2, more would be better</li><li>Top surface: recommend 5 to increase the quality of the ramp</li><li>Brim: no</li><li>Support: Yes, 25% threshold on slide, supports for bin chamfer may be needed depending on settings and material.</li></ul>&nbsp;
