I wanted to be able to store my spools of filament near my printers without having to put holes in the wall to hang traditional shelf brackets. These utilize the keyholes already present in my shelf unit.

I wanted to hang plexiglass doors on my shelf unit but wanted to utilize the keyholes so that the doors could be removed easily if needed.
