Meshtastic is a text based radio communications platform that utilizes the LoRa radio frequencies to send messages very far and with little power draw. Each Meshtastic node propigates messages it receives to other nodes in range, creating a mesh network for off-grid text messaging and sensor telemetry (GPS coordinates of the node, temperature, humidity, etc...) that can extend for miles. I found some great hardware and designed an enclosure for a node. Hope you enjoy it!
