love the design. however on the 2nd time I changed a few things. I understand this uses the kit as is and doesn't involve soldering but my switch didn't work maybe 20 percent of the time. however I am able to solder so I modified with the following: .added a standard mini rocker switch .enlarged the wire hole in the column for a plug and slack in the wire .added a connector so I can remove the plane from the base to work on it .used 26g silicone wire everywhere .flipped the bottom battery cover so the hole wasn't near the rocker switch this will be a gift so I needed the switch to be reliable. looks fantastic!
