I printed this because I picked up like 40 rolls of Kodak nylon PA6/66 super cheap, most of them from 2021 or 2022, and I wanted to use them in the AMS. But the spools are small and packed so full they hit the feed area and can’t really spin right. I used some ABS I had laying around and the print came out nice. I also printed the improved slider and that works great. The first time I tried re-spooling onto a Bambu spool, it was kind of a mess. The Kodak spool just floats on the axle unless you hold it steady, and if you spin it at all and don’t hold the filament down, it’ll instantly unspool. Since they’re so overfilled, the filament pops off super easy and becomes a huge pain to fix. It would be cool to have a spacer to hold the smaller 750g spools better, maybe even with taller walls to stop the filament from escaping. Besides that, this thing’s awesome. It’s gonna help me finally use all this nylon I got for dirt cheap and I’m pretty excited about it.
