The Borg are a cybernetic life-form from Star Trek who strive for perfection through the assimilation of other species and their technology. They operate as a collective without individual identity. Their cube starships are feared. They became known through the assimilation of Captain Picard into Locutus of Borg and their role in Star Trek: Voyager. Their motto "Resistance is futile" highlights their relentless nature and the threat they pose to individuality
