✨ New project for the Old World Magic Contest! I’ve just released a special version of my thaumatrope inspired by old alchemist artifacts and magical devices. This one can also work as a small LED lamp using the IKEA KAPPLAKE light. This is my second optical toy, inspired by early animation and classic visual illusions. A simple thaumatrope that shows how persistence of vision works and how motion can emerge from still images.
