I built this battery-powered ESP32-C3 door/window sensor because off-the-shelf options were unreliable or pricey, especially with decent battery life. It’s fully open, integrates with Home Assistant, and even includes battery monitoring for low-battery alerts. Since I couldn’t find anything similar on MakerWorld, I wanted to share the project for others to improve and enjoy.
