I like 3D printing, and I also enjoy FPV. I love to do CAD design, whether its a cute animal like a snake or dragon, or a functional item, I do a lot.

I 3D printed this. How?
While it may appear to be witchcraft and sorcery to 3D print impossible overhangs, its actually quite simple:
It all comes down to the concept of embedding parts within prints. This geometry was achieved by printing the overhang sections as separate parts, then telling the printer to automatically pause at the right layer, then sliding it in, letting the printer seal in its new part.
This design method is really quite interesting, allowing all sorts of geometries otherwise impossibe to print. Instead of absurd amounts of supports and rough surface finishes, just 3D print the overhangs flat on the print bed, then insert them in at the right time! I really hope I this inspires creators to understand that there is more to 3D printing and design for manufacturing, taking full advantage of custom gemetries while printing.
3D printers are wonderful tools, and they can make amazing things. Happy printing.

How much is a used A1 mini combo worth?
Im planning to buy an X2D in about a week, I've already got an A1 combo and A1 mini combo, and I'm hovering around the idea of selling the mini. The problem is, its a newer machine, about a year old, <500 hours on it (probably ~400 if I had to guess), well maintained, and I would feel a bit bad about selling it because it feels so un-used to justify getting like $200 for it. I bought the machine for $400 flat after shipping and taxes, but like... How much could I get for it if I was to sell it? And if I sold to family, what would be a fair price?

Ever needed to tighten something on the go, but didn’t want to carry a whole toolkit?
Let me introduce you to the TrailBit, a print-in-place, no support needed tool that holds six 4mm precision hex bits. Designed for your keychain or bag, its great for trail fixes, electronics, or everyday use.
Check it out and let me know what you think—feedback is welcome!

Welp, I just ran into one of my first nozzle clogs (bad ones at least), in my several years of printing. I was printing PLA in a 0.2 nozzle like Ive done countless times before, but apparently this time my printer didnt like me... had to scrap a print :(

With the AMS v2 pro coming out, it advertises it works with the A1 series of printers as well as all the others, it looks amazing being enclosed and having heating, but both of my A1s have an AMS lite already... I just don't wanna buy a AMS v2 pro or whatever if i can't use multiple... I can rig a system to input multiple into the hotend, each printer has 2 AMS ports, I just wonder if it'll work having two AMS now that we can use other AMS units (the new one you can daisy chain too, having multiple from one port)
Anyone have any info on this topic? Would be greatly appreciated

I recently designed a lego-compatible snake for customizability with lego hats, however it appears the word "lego" is a no-no word on makerworld. Does anyone have suggestions on tags or title descriptions to not miss out on traffic? Im just curious what tags other creators are using? Using a zero for leg0 seems like a decent alternative, although are there any others?

Customization awaits! Im currently working on designing a snake that has a lego stud on its head, allowing users to attach a lego hat of their choosing, customizing their very own snake! I will keep working to adapt this design, and hopefully get it out as soon as i can!
