I built this project because I couldn’t find an affordable way to make small batches of custom braille business cards. Braille embossers are hard to find, and the usual alternatives, like a slate and stylus, a Perkins-style brailler, or a fully electric embosser, are not ideal for quick, low cost custom runs. I wanted something simpler, so I designed a fully 3D printed, hand operated embosser that just snaps together with no fasteners, springs, glue, or electronics.
