With a powerful blow, it breaks the barrier of 20 kHz that separates ultrasound from “normal” sound.&nbsp;You'll probably think that this whistle isn't working - but that's because humans (especially as they get older) hear higher tones less loudly or not at all - unlike many animals! I therefore recommend a frequency measurement app for testing. I use <a target="_blank" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.intoorbit.spectrum" rel="nofollow noopener">this android app</a>.&nbsp;WARNING: This whistle is not a toy! It's very loud which can harm the ears, so please protect your ears and don't use it near other people or animals!&nbsp;How to print:First of all: this whistle has very small structures inside - corresponding to the short wavelength of ultrasonic sound. For successful printing, your printer should be well calibrated and work precisely. Use a line width of 0.4 mm and a layer height of 0.2 mm, 8 top layers and 8 bottom layers. The whistle requires correct positioning of the Z-seam - it shouldn't be placed in the narrow air passages inside the whistle.Print slowly to achieve sharp edges!

My contribution to the Kit Card Design Contest: the Rubber Band Helicopter.&nbsp;Easy to print and easy to assemble.&nbsp;No additional components required except:- a robust rubber band,- a drop of oil.&nbsp;How to print:Line width 0.4 mm, layer height 0.16 mm, first layer height 0.2 mm, no supports, don't print too fast. Or just use my print profile.&nbsp;Assembly:Please follow these building instructions, you can find the corresponding pictures above.<ol><li>Break out all individual parts from the kit card and remove any remaining fasteners (pictures 1 and 2).</li><li>Put the axle into the round bearing plate and insert the rubber band (picture 3).</li><li>Insert one half of the handle into the round bearing plate (picture 4).</li><li>Add the second half of the handle, making sure that the two loops of the rubber band wrap around the arms of the second handle part (picture 5).</li><li>Pull the two loops of the handle evenly over the second handle part (picture 6).</li><li>Add a drop of oil to the contact surface between the bearing plate and the axle (picture 7).</li><li>Put the rotor on, the orientation doesn't matter (picture 8).</li></ol>Do not leave out the oil, otherwise the system will lose too much energy due to friction!&nbsp;Select a decent Rubber Band!Not every cheap rubber band will work satisfactorily. I recommend a band that is at least 1 mm thick, 3 to 5 mm wide and 45 to 75 mm in diameter. It should be well elastic and have a decent restoring force. With a good rubber band, 5 to 10 turns of the rotor should be enough to get it to rise a few meters.If you only have thin, simple rubber bands, try using 2 or 3 of them at a time.&nbsp;How to use:Place the rotor on top and turn it clockwise a few times. Then block it with your thumb until you want it to start. (See short video above).&nbsp;WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts, not for children under 3 yrs!

This is version 2 of my “Smartphone Tripod Adapter”. It has been improved in two main points:<ul><li>the center of gravity of the smartphone is now directly above the fastening screw, which gives the tripod a more secure stand,</li><li>the tripod adapter is now even more compact and lighter.</li></ul>Description:This tripod mount can hold almost all smartphones with its clamping range of 64 to 84 mm. It can easily be printed as a single part (“print-in-place”). No other components are required other than a rubber band. For smartphones with slippery sides without a case, self-adhesive silicone bumpers can optionally be glued in.&nbsp;Printing Instructions:Use a 0.4mm line with a layer height of 0.2mm. Print the object in the specified orientation. If possible, place the Z-seam as shown in the image above.&nbsp;Assembly Instructions:Before using the adapter, the assembly of one or two rubber bands is required. Using two rubber bands instead of a single one can increase safety. Smartphones with silicone cases usually hold well. For smartphones with slippery sides without a case, recesses have been provided into which optionally cut self-adhesive silicone bumpers with a thickness of 2 mm and an edge length of 7 mm can be glued (see pictures above).&nbsp;Instructions for Use:Before inserting the smartphone, please check whether the rubber band(s) are still intact. The smartphone could fall out if the rubber band(s) break. The adapter has a printed thread to accept the mounting screw. This printed thread can wear out. Check the screw connection for tightness.

The cutting edge of the blade is 45 mm, a full 30% longer!&nbsp;Each blade weighs just 1.8 grams - and since each blade has two cutting edges, only 0.9 grams of filament is required per cutting edge. It couldn&#39;t be more economical, and you can now replace the blades more often without feeling guilty.&nbsp;Print Settings:This design has been optimized for printing with a layer height of 0.2 mm, so please do not use a different value. The first layer should have a line width of at least 0.5 mm. In order to get the sharpest possible blade, you should choose a smooth printing surface if possible.The locking mechanism has been optimized for PLA, so I recommend this filament for the handle. You can also print the blades with PLA - as long as you don&#39;t scratch on a bed that&#39;s too hot for PLA. In this case, I would recommend a more heat-resistant filament, for example PETG.&nbsp;Assembly:That is very easy. Simply slide the blade into the handle. But be careful - the blades are sharp, so don&#39;t push them in with your finger, but insert them loosely and then push them all the way by pressing the blade on a solid surface.
