I use currently Fusion 360 and OpenSCAD to create models.
Playing around with some 3D scanning From left to right: original, processed in Fusion 360, and processed in Blender From this small test, looks like the scan processed in Blender turned out the best

I had a lovely summer, spending time with family - be prepared for some awesome overengineered models coming soon! I also have a project I’ve been working on since January… might be posting it soon!

How does this case for a board project I’m working on look? 2 tries to a near perfect interference fit (given printer tolerance)!

Cracked the code (after many endless reddit, stackoverflow, and rpi forum pages), and now I can connect to a bluetooth microprocessor! The project containing this board has taken me 5 months to complete, and I’m almost there! On another note, I will be taking a break over the summer, spending more time with family. Thank you for your continued support! StedFast3D

After 3 months of prototyping and 3 versions, I have finally finished the design of a complete keycap set. These keycaps have several distinct features: 1) these keycaps allow the switch to become near - silent 2) these keycaps are completely scalable 3) these keycaps follow the “Cherry” keycap profile 4) these keycaps are completely 3d printable 5) on average, printing a single keycap takes 4 minutes (crazy!) 6) these keycaps have a very precise stem, allowing for a great grip on the switch (good enough to require a good amount of force to remove) 7) these keycaps have a reinforced stem to allow for longer use and endurance I will upload them when I have the chance! #Comingsoon *these keycaps are blank, with no text. You will have to manually add the text in the slicer. If wanted by the community, there is a chance I will add text in the design.* Note: the keycaps in the included picture look a little rough do to increased print speeds (to speed up prototyping)

Recently installed a 0.6mm nozzle onto my P1S: the specs are seriously impressive. It prints over 60% faster than the 0.4mm nozzle (linear comparison)! also, I get to enjoy pure 3D printing goodness of 1mm layers now. Crazy!

Does anyone know if we can upload files that are not meant to be laser cut on the H2D as laser files? I have access to a laser cutter and have created some cool designs on it I’d love to share. Let me know if you know, and if not, I’m always happy to reach out to MW support. Thanks!

Just a quick update on my article: I hope to release it sometime this week, however, I am currently very busy with work. It is currently around 7 sections long, taking one through the process of creating a high - performing model. I look forward to the release of this, hopefully soon! Thank you for your continued support!

I love the idea of one long article - I am currently outlining an article, and it has 7 sections. Would you read an article that long?(Edited)
Do you prefer long articles, or articles that are broken into multiple parts? An example of multiple parts are the articles Makerworld wrote. I’m wondering how I should format the article I am currently writing. Let me know, hopefully this article turns out great!
