U1 QuickLoad Top-Mount Spool Holder – V3 is OUT!

V2 is out! I’ve updated my U1 QuickLoad Top-Mount Spool Holder with better ergonomics and strength. The main body now has grip protrusions for easier tightening, and the threaded ring includes holes for improved handling. A new split hook version is available for higher resistance (glue required), plus a Snapmaker logo cap for a cleaner look.

I designed this QuickLoad Top-Mount Spool Holder for the U1 to make spool changes fast and effortless. The spool is inserted from the top, allowing a quick swap without removing parts or dealing with complicated mechanisms. All holders are designed specifically for the U1, and they are compatible with both original and aftermarket spools with a center hole up to 86 mm. I hope this helps make spool changes quicker and cleaner for other U1 users — feedback is always welcome!

Thanks to your feedback, I’ve released Version 2 of the Snapmaker U1 spool adapter! The main improvement is a redesigned thread with only 3 turns, which makes attaching and removing the spool much faster and easier, while still keeping it securely in place during printing. I’ve designed a simple but super useful adapter for filament spools with a large 56 mm center hole, so they can fit properly on the Snapmaker U1 spool holder. Some third-party spools (mine are 75 mm) don’t lock onto the U1 system, which can cause wobbling or uneven feeding. With this adapter, they now sit perfectly and spin smoothly.
