I bought the Aqara U400 after my previous Kwikset lock, although still functional, suffered severe sun damage after about 7 years outdoors. The keypad’s plastic/glass surface was badly degraded by UV exposure. That experience is exactly why I designed this shade. I wanted to reduce direct sun on the U400 while keeping fingerprint, phone, watch, and UWB access practical. After testing several PETG versions, I included 7 variants for different door and frame layouts.
