#2024 Annual Summary It's so hard to put the events of this year into words, It almost feels unreal. I'm in my last year of high school, and by some miracle I found myself in an early collage program. It was a CAD class, where we learnt how to operate machining tools and designing software. Me being me, not only did i miss the orientation, but I also ended up missing the whole 1st week of class! I begged my professor to give me a chance, and luckily he did (Not before he made me call myself an "asshole" in front of the entire class). That class might have been one of the most important things that has ever happened to me. I didn't have a plan on what I was gonna do after High School. I didn't have a "dream job" or any career path I planned to pursue. But after a few weeks in class, Something just clicked. It felt like I had finally found something I genuinely enjoyed. I'd start spending my free time just doing work for the class, something that I had never done before willingly. I loved designing parts, I loved learning how all the big machines worked, for once, I loved working. This year hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows however. I've had a lot of things thrown at me, and realistically i shouldn't have been able to handle them. My insurance company dropped me as a client, leaving me without the medication I needed. My parents took in foster children, but they caused many of issues and almost led to the divorce of my parents and family being cut off. I started fighting with mom more. We use to be so close, I still don't understand how we grew so aggressive towards each other. A lot of these things led to mom suffering from some neurological attack, leaving her in a nursing home. That left me to take care of her responsibilities, which included all of the Christmas preparations. We made it though however. Me and dad worked tirelessly to get things done (Mostly dad. I wish i could give him a break). We started bringing family back into the picture, And mom and slowly recovering from everything. Even with everything thats happened between us, I'm just glad to have my mom back. After graduating my CAD classes, dad noticed I took interest in 3d printing, and got me a really good printer for Christmas. I haven't been able to stop playing with this thing. He's already got me designing spare parts that he needs. Designing sparked an interest in me unlike anything else has, Finally something i can apply myself to. I can't believe that the kid who could barely pass English, is already applying to work for manufacturers. There's so much more I want to say, But this is long enough as it is. I'm ready to start 2025 strong! I got new, big dreams to chase after! To anyone that took time out of their day to read this, Thank you so much. It means a lot to know I'm not just yelling into the void. I'm wishing for the best for all yall this year!!!!
