If you download my files, please consider watching the Youtube video that goes along with it to the end (or any video) - it will help with my view duration times and motivate me to add more videos along with my designs. I seem to like king a lot of functional prints. I try to post them on my youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/@RandomSmith
A good example of gear reduction vs increase in torque (lifting power) - you can stop the motor spinning holding the first few gears nearest the motor, once you get further along, you have no chance of stopping the motor as the torque increases and difficulty stopping the motor gets harder. As the torque increases from gear to gear, so too does the reduction in speed, such that the final gear hardly moves, so gives you an idea of how many gears you need in your project to get the desired rpm.

Watch out when removing the tree supports from the main faceplate underside, there is a small rectangular pillar that is part of the model, not the support and easy to miss. I just stuck my pliers in and pulled out the rectangular part along with the tree support - if you have some decent glue - you can fix it using a pair of tweezers to place the part, overnight it went fairly stiff- it is an internal part anyway.
