I just finished designing a tribute to the Prince of Darkness himself. I'm printing the first one now and I'll post the results as soon as it's complete. R.I.P. Ozzy!

Under extrusion? Over extrusion? Best leveling? New firmware? New bambu Studio? I have no idea what's happening but everything has been terrible since the updates(Edited)

Something so simple doesn't seem like it should have taken hours to design or multiple iterations to get right, but when you're as picky as I am, that's what happens. I just wanted something simple that worked and fit my SanDisk portable drive, but everything I found was over engineered or just the wrong size. I don't need to store the useless little usb cable they give you and I don't need it to be an Otterbox - just enough to hold the drive and keep it mounted.

Anyone else's printer acting like absolute garbage after the firmware update? I've been trying to print a small 10g print for hours. ivee lost teack of how many times I've restarted this print. My A1 tells me the nozzle is heating, but shows me 70/2 and declining. I'm ready to take a hammer to it!(Edited)

Did you know you can use PowerPoint to help you create signs? It has a pretty extensive library of scalable shapes which you can add text directly to use as elements on your sign. I've made a few different signs this way, but most recently I recreated the Lyft emblem for drivers and utilized the MakerWorld "Make My Key Chain" tool for the first time for ease of creating the model and I've documented my process below: I started by converting the PDF into a PNG and cropped it down to one side of the foldable sign, then I created a new blank slide in PowerPoint and imported the image to use as a template. I then proceeded use the shapes in PowerPoint to recreate the pill shape and tab by overlaying the shapes on top of the PNG and scaling them to size. Seperately, I had a clean version of the logo which I then imported on top. Once everything was positioned, I exported it as an SVG in full color. To simplify the process of creating the model file, I uploaded SVG to the “Make my Key Chain” tool on MakerWorld and downloaded the 3MF. From there, I brought it into Bambu Studio and scaled it to the proper size. I hope you find this helpful the next time you want to make a sign or even a keychain!

1,400 downloads! WOW! I would have never thought this was possible when I first joined MakerWorld and I'm still stunned! These Gridfinity bins were one of the first models I designed and uploaded shortly after purchasing the A1 and I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone for their support! All the boosts, likes and ratings have not only encouraged me to keep making but it's helped keep my prototyping costs down through gift cards obtained through points. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You folks are the best!

So I'm happy to say that I got my A1 back up and running after Bambu sent me a new heating element. The right side that holds the nozzle clamp had sheared off and was causing my all kinds of weird print issues. That said, I was finally able to reprint my Raiders of the Lost Benchy model and post new photos! I hated only having a rear view of the model but I had ruined that print by using a lighter to try and clean up some of the stringiness (the humidity has been awful) because you might not see it with the naked eye, but it looks terrible on camera. Lesson learned there! So TL; DR - I've posted fresh photos of my Indiana Jones Benchy Remix!(Edited)

Before contacting support, I thought I'd pose the question here - has anyone else published models or print profiles that should for all intents and purposes work on the A1 and up, but the profile only lists the A1? And if so, do you know why or what's causing it? I have a few print profiles like this and despite it auto-checking the compatibility, it only shows compatibility with the A1

I don't care if people are using AI to enhance their photos or to create an illustration, but completely misrepresenting a model with a photorealistic rendering that doesn't match the detail of the print is deciectful. What I do care about is the fact that that most of these folks just crank out these models and flood the site with garbage and it hurts the rest of us. i don't know if there's a way for @MakerWorld to filter out this content if its not tagged, but I would like to propose that AI generated models be inelligble for Exclusive content status and ineligible for contest entries.
I agree, AI generated models should be

Apparently some people have nothing better to do than to try and tear others down. Yes, I used AI to create a fun illustrative version of my model - which I did by uploading a render of the model, not the other way around. For total transparency, I did the same thing with my Rat Rod Benchy - I uploaded a render of my model and described the art style because I wanted to connect with the audience who it would resonate with. All it takes is a moment to look at the 3D preview to see the model was not based on the illustration. Have you seen the horrors AI produces using image to model?

I didn't think I was going to get across the finish line with this one. So many iterations, but I'm so glad I had to start from scratch again because it ended up better than I initially imagined.

So either Maker World has lost their mind and is censoring anything remotely related to fertility or resembling a female or someone is reporting models and Maker World has still lost their mind. There's a model of glasses with the word fertility and they marked it NSFW. Weird update or some prude who can't deal with plastic models that might have anything to do with reproduction. If you're offended by fictional representations of tribal art, you need to grow the F up.

I might be hooked on Benchy remixes now... the Rat Rod Benchy wasn't enough for me and I'm working on yet another one for the contest!

My first ever Benchy remix is a hot rod version of Benchy with the infamous Rat Fink by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth behind the wheel!

I'm looking for recommendations on dry boxes for filament storage. Cereal containers seem to be popular, but I'm not sure what kind or where to get them.

#Giftcard Does anyone know what triggers a review for a gift card redemption when using points? It seems random to me. Most times, it redeems immediately, but other times is goes under review for anywhere from a couple of days to a week

I've spent a few months trying to come up with a display base for my golden idol that I'm finally happy with. I had created two variants of this base and based on a community poll, I'm releasing the more popular version. Thanks to everyone who voted!
