Add a large ball bearing for a fun toy

i needs to add pics once I get it back. inlaws kids have stolen it. it looks like magic!

I think this is the pinnacle of dial calipers. Good tight fit even 2 weeks on. durable, etc Accuracy will be improved as they soften. Currently they are slightly sticky. These will confidently measure to the mm if you are careful.

really really great print in place bearings. maybe a little too much slack but probably not.

I lost so much filament on this thing. I printed the base at least 4x and only with support did it work. Also my first ever bigger print. It's 4 stars because the gears slide out of alignment and create friction and slipage etc. It really could use a v2 or v3. I'd recommend making the handle stronger torsionally and the center geaar could use either more support and better mounting. The far wall needs less strength and the close wall more.

The bowl is good. I really like it with different infill and translucent petg. The gold one really pops, it's almost impossible to get it captured on camera though. Easily the "prettiest" thing I have made.

This guy nailed it. No ball bearings. Half dozen prints probably most of a spool used and no problems. My only problem is the spacer made it worse. It forced the bearings to tilt. I kissed it with my lighter and it works great! If you really zoom in you can see the spacer was mightly melted.

Far superior to the default design! Nothing worth iterating on.

Great print. compatible w spliters as well.
