I printed it in ASA and it came out great.
I tried one version with ironing turned on which made the channel a bit smoother (marked with a read circle in image 1).
But I think this is not needed at all.

I made some tests - hard material passed as well as TPU 90A without noticeable friction.

Also, in the worst position of the print head there is no contact between adapter and the pinter case (light bar) - see image 2.

Unfortunately, your license doesn’t allow any modifications, so I ask you if it would be possible to add a 3.5mm hole at the marked positions (image 3). This would allow to a simple mounting adapter.
Not a big thing but if possible…

Normally I don’t boost models with this restrictive kind of license.
But in your case I made an exception because the model is very good designed and helpful.

It printed perfect in ASA.
The fit is a bit loose. Although it stays in place it will come off when adding / removing filament.

But that doesn't matter.
As you mentioned - a tiny drop of glue - done.
