My entry into 3D printing began in 2011 with the construction of a MendelMax 1.5 The first prints were all made from ABS. New projects quickly followed: I built myself a MendelMax 2, then a SparkCube, and finally the BigSparkCube with a huge print area of 100 x 80 x 60 cm. Each of these printers was a learning process – mechanically, electronically, and in terms of software. Over time, I expanded my machine park with pre-built devices such as the Creality V10 V3, the Bambu Lab A1, the compact A1 Mini, and the H2D.
