After creating the 4th of July basket I thought "this would make an interesting poop bin but it needs a shield." A little more work with tinkercad and here we have it.

I wanted to create something patriotic themed for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. I wanted something with minimal filament changes and incorporated all of the elements of the US flag.

I have been doing a lot of gluing and realized that the design of most super-glue bottles does not allow them to be stored upside down.  I wanted a simple print that would allow me to store the bottle upside down and have a replaceable drip tray underneath.  While there were a number of models on MakerWorld, none really met my needs. So I designed my own.

This is the second 3d model I have created and it's to solve a specific problem. I still have a lot to learn and welcome any constructive feedback.

I printed the suitcase with Jayo Silk PLA (Silver and Red). While the print came out fabulous, for some reason the handle failed.

This was the first articulating print I made and I was very pleased with the model. My grandson is already enjoying it and asking for more.

As the designer created them they fit the VC8+ perfectly. With a little enlargement they fit the VC8S. This allows the charger/tester to sit at a better angle to read the displays. I am going to all some rubber feet to the bottom to prevent them from sliding on smooth surfaces.

The contrast color on the top rim makes these simple boxes look classy. I agree with some other commenters that the tolerances for the outer slots are just a hair tight. When I print more I will likely enlarge it by 1 or 2% to provide a little more space for the cells.

I really like this system to keep track of the colors of the different spools I have. As you can see, orange from different vendors and filament types can look rather different. Tags from 3dfilamentprofiles.com fit perfectly on them.
