I run a booth at conventions and transport my display pre-assembled. I've had issues with the original connectors snagging when loading and unloading from my vehicle, and didn't like the look of the round bumps protruding from all sides. To solve this issue and others, I designed these connectors that include corner and edge pieces that streamline the profile of my wire shelves.
