<h2>Adventure&#39;s Edge: Game Summary</h2>Dive into &#34;Adventure&#39;s Edge,&#34; where strategy meets chance on a journey through the elemental realms. Up to four players embark on a quest to navigate their pieces through challenges and fortunes, guided by the whims of the Wheel of Prosperity and Fate&#39;s Challenge. Gather your family or friends for a fast-paced adventure that promises thrills, laughter, and a test of wits at every turn.&nbsp;I designed this game to be a fun new take on the game trouble or frustration that can be 100% 3D printed. You&#39;ll have a great time putting together this set with satisfying snaps, colorful game pieces, and of course lots of fun playing the game. Whether it&#39;s friends over for game night, or you&#39;re playing with your family, I hope that you enjoy the build and the game.<figure class="media"></figure><figure class="image image_resized" style="width: 56.6%"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000390175/design/2024-03-23_81f7f84204429.png"></figure><h2>Setup and Gameplay</h2>Objective: Be the first to navigate all 4 of your pieces from the base camp, around the board, and across the finish line.<ul><li>Players: Up to 4, representing the elements Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire.</li><li>Starting the Game: Each player starts with 4 pieces in their base camp next to their element icon. The oldest player chooses the specific number(s) required to leave base camp for the first game. In subsequent games, the player to the left of the previously oldest player chooses. See the note below on leaving base camp.</li><li>Movement: No extra spin is granted upon reaching the starting space. Pieces cannot land on spaces occupied by the player&#39;s own pieces. Landing on an opponent&#39;s piece sends that piece back to their base camp. You cannot land on your own piece.</li><li>Landing on the Wheel of Prosperity Space (4th on each side): Grants a positive action by spinning the Wheel of Prosperity.</li><li>Landing on Fate’s Challenge Space (7th on each side): Requires a spin on the Fate’s Challenge Wheel for a negative outcome.</li></ul><h3>Leaving Base Camp</h3><ul><li>Selection Process: At the beginning of the first game, the oldest player announces their chosen number(s) from 1 through 6. These numbers become the &#34;key&#34; to leave the base camp for every player. For example, if the chosen numbers are 2 and 4, then a player must spin a 2 or 4 to move a piece out of the base camp onto the starting space.</li><li>Variability: The oldest player can choose one number for a simpler game or multiple numbers to increase the chances of leaving the base camp but add complexity to the strategic decisions.</li><li>Rotation of Choice: In subsequent games, the privilege to choose the exit number(s) rotates to the player to the left of the individual who made the selection in the previous game. This ensures that all players have the opportunity to influence the game&#39;s difficulty and strategy.</li><li>Announcement: Before starting the game, the selected number(s) should be clearly announced to all players to avoid confusion. It&#39;s also a good idea to have these numbers visible to all players throughout the game, perhaps by writing them down or using a marker on a shared game component.</li></ul><h3>Example Introduction to Rule</h3>&#34;At the start of &#39;Adventure&#39;s Edge,&#39; our journey begins with a strategic decision by the oldest among us, setting the stage for our elemental quest. This wise player will choose the magical numbers, be it a single digit or multiple, from the ancient range of 1 through 6. These numbers hold the power to release our adventurers from their base camp, embarking them on a path filled with prosperity and challenges. With each new game, this sacred duty will pass to the left, allowing new strategies to unfold.&#34;<h3>Spinning Fate&#39;s Challenge or Wheel of Prosperity</h3><h4>Fate’s Challenge Wheel (Negative Actions)</h4><ul><li>Hand: A player to your left can swap your piece with any player&#39;s piece (excluding base camp and finish line).</li><li>Tent: Your piece returns to base camp.</li><li>Swap: Swap with the nearest opponent behind you.</li><li>Go Back: Move to your previous space.</li><li>Spin: Spin again to move backwards.</li><li>Skip: Miss your next turn.</li></ul><h4>Wheel of Prosperity (Positive Actions)</h4><ul><li>Hand: Swap a left neighbor&#39;s piece with any player’s piece on the board (excluding base camp and finish line).</li><li>Finish Flag: Move directly to a finish line space.</li><li>Swap: Swap with the closest opponent ahead; if none, move to a finish line space.</li><li>Spin: Spin again to advance forward.</li><li>Tent Arrow: Send any opponent’s piece back to base camp.</li><li>Shield: Avoid one negative action. Must be used the next time a negative action occurs.</li></ul><h3>Special Rules</h3><ul><li>Elemental Themes: Elements are for thematic purposes only and do not affect gameplay mechanics.</li><li>Shield Token: If holding a Shield token, a player is protected from the next negative action. The token is surrendered upon prevention of the negative action.</li><li>Tie-Breaker: Ties are not possible. The print profit will be read to go, but there are a few things to note. snapping in the legs and the side spinning holders should require just a little bit of pressure and you&#39;ll hear a satisfying click when they are in. Don&#39;t forget to put the challenge and prosperity wheel on the correct side. The green wheel goes on the side with the stars, and the red wheel goes on the side with the skull. To retain the spinner and the side spinning wheels, there are little c-clips that simple slide over the end of the shafts. This design also has really super clicky buttons even for the action button, which other cases don't have. There's also a version of this print that supports magsafe with a cutout for an additional magnet ring.&nbsp;This design profile page includes 2 options:<ul><li>No magsafe design: simpler to print but won't support magsafe accessories. Pixels are thicker and easier to handle.</li><li>Magsafe design: a few extra steps to print and assemble but supports magsafe accessories.</li></ul>&nbsp;If you're looking for an even simpler print with a neat design, check out <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/56125#profileId-57712" rel="nofollow noopener">my other design here</a>.<h3>The print is split in 4 parts:</h3><ul><li>phone case</li><li>camera bump protector: this is split from the case so that its easier to print both on flat surfaces without support for a smooth finish.</li><li>buttons (volume x2, action button and power button)</li><li>pixels: these can be print in any color to create your pixel art.</li><li>(optional 1): pixel fillers if you're printing the magasafe version.</li><li>(optional 2): a protective TPU sheet that goes between your phone and the pixels to protect the phone even more.</li></ul><h3>How to print:</h3><ul><li>TPU 95: a strong flexible filament is required for the case</li><li>Camera bump guard can be print in TPU or PLA.</li><li>Buttons also printable on PLA or TPU.</li><li>Some supports on the case. Mainly the buttons andthe speaker grill and charge port. Minimal tree supports recommended.</li><li>Raft needed for the pixels to improve bed adhesion</li><li>Protective sheet needs to be printed on TPU.</li><li>Added 1 pixels type which has a -0.2 tolerance on the bigger side (that fits in the case). Or slap it in the phone and it should settle in the cutout nicely. You will also need to print pixel stoppers of which there's 2 options:<ul><li>individual stoppers. These are 1mm thick stoppers for each pixel outside the magsafe cutout.</li><li>grouped stoppers. There's 2 of these one for inside the magsafe ring and one for the outside.</li></ul></li><li>finally insert your phone!</li></ul>&nbsp;<h4>Comments about magsafe:</h4>You can also print the “no magsafe option” and avoid thinking about this next section altogether.&nbsp;The magsafe print profile and files use different pixels. These pixels are thinner (1mm in thickness). This is so that the additional magsafe magnetic ring which is usually around 0.4mm to 1mm thick can sit in between the pixels and the phone. Its also so that the magnets attach firmly to other accessories.&nbsp;here are some pictures that illustrate it:&nbsp;<img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/234491/2023-11-27_0ff184e94b7978.png"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/234491/2023-11-27_68b82dac695198.png">&nbsp;In order to prevent the pixels from falling back into that 1mm gap in places where there isn't an extra magnetic ring. This fun model is print-in-place and prints entirely without support and folds together right off the build plate. No assembly!&nbsp;This model is designed to fit small LED tealights inside (but you can change the source of light to anything you want)!
