So I made a pencil holder that prints without supports with minimal cleanup required, depending on printer and filament type. It does not use a lot of filament.<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/577240/2023-09-18_ev2qs77hdckp.jpg"></figure>Print Settings&nbsp;I recommend printing it in PLA as there are some challenging overhangs where it's beneficial with maximum parts cooling but it could print nicely in other filament types as well.&nbsp;I've printed a couple on my Bambu Lab X1C and P1P printers and they printed very nicely in Prusament PLA without supports in around 2 hours and 20 minutes using 31g of filament.

Please do it that way, because you don't want to have any fat on the plate. you can't get that down so well.&nbsp;You can use it with or without magnets and it is suitable for all Z-axes (including the rear one). Hi, I've made big bone dragon model. Its printed in one piece without using supports. I only used brim.The model is fully movable including the legs. This big dragon measures about 60 cm.I recommend printing at original size, I have reduced the model in slicer to about 80%. In this case the tail end may not be fully movable.

Try using a 0.2mm nozzle (0.08mm layer heights) or scaling up for even finer detail!&nbsp;Note: If roads or other small details disappear after slicing, try or lowering the extrusion/line width of external perimeters (outer walls) closer to 0.4mm OR use Arachne walls.&nbsp;Framing Details&nbsp;This model measures almost exactly 8.5x8.5in (217.2mm X 217.2mm) and should fit most 9x9 frames (assuming frame lip/overlap is around a half-inch). Feel free to change the scale/size of the model(s) to meet your needs, but if the model is shrunk too much smaller features such as roads and vegetation might too small for the slicer to recognize. This is my second design trying to come up with a solution for the “Jumping Spool” issues. I shared my first design “<a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/37390#profileId-35773" rel="nofollow noopener">AMS SPOOL GUARD”</a>, but after that… I tried to document and learn a bit more to understand why do the spools jumps in the first place. I shared some slow-mo video on facebook groups and got so many feedbacks (and mockings) I think understanding the cause would help come up with a better solutions… I think up to 3 things contributes to the spool jumps 1. When the filaments are low, the angle becomes sharper / steep.. so the extruder makes a more forward pull instead of downward… 2. Extruder speed is faster than the Front Roller, so it was holding it back (plus sharper angle too) 3. Tangled filament so for Tangled filament, it's probably for someone smarter than me to solve lol I am attempting to eliminate or at least reduce cause number 1, which is height differences. First try, I tried to modify the first design, and move the “bar” from the back to the front, using the same mount (which was a nice secure spot mount it) The problem with that idea I don't have a place for the mount for the left and right side of the AMS… <img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/613353/rich_content/e37c8aab-0f0a-44d0-b74a-ccb176d3b0da/screenshot-2023-10-13-at-21225-pm.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%226533e8de-8244-4d91-8f45-3027d0872bba%22%2C%22w%22%3A2424%2C%22h%22%3A1488%7D">&nbsp;I also tried the suggestion using the AMS Button + a longer PTFE attached This helped to reduce the wear and tear but it the ptfe tube is so flexible so it will still bend and the spool jumps too. I am still studying but at least this is for now one solution that might reduce the issues… I would love you to try and give me feedback… I included the 3MF for Bambu Studio, comes in 2 plates… if you want to use the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M33CNS6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1" rel="nofollow noopener">metal rod</a> and logo, you can print plate 1, if you don't then you can print Plate 2. 0.3 mm first layer , the rest 0.2 mm Layers - Adaptive Layer Gyroid infill at 30% to make it stiffer. I have made tens of models for them.&nbsp;Since the blades are easy to drop and relatively weak, and in addition, the original model is a glued up model, It is easily got broken and each time I have make a whole new one for them, much of waste.&nbsp;So I decided to make my own one to address the issues, by introducing a rubber ring tensioned blade lock and disassemble structure for exchanging the blades.&nbsp;Also, considering the rubber ring might break in the future, I added an anchor structure that make the rubber ring could be exchanged from outside.&nbsp;To drag the rubber ring easily, a puller tool is also included into the 3mf file.&nbsp;The assembly guide is listed in the thumbnails and not very hard to assemble.&nbsp;Have fun!------------------Updated on 2023/11/03&nbsp;The folding diameter of the rubber ring is 60mm, please check out the thumbnail for reference.&nbsp;As the holes in Handle and connector are built w/o support, the diameter of the hole is not as perfect as other surfaces. This could cause the filament being hard to insert. I recommend to use a Hex Key T1.5 to clean the hole, then it will be much easier.
