Hi, I'm Jamie, a single dad and independent maker based in the UK, and this is Functional 3D UK.
I design and 3D print things that actually solve problems. No flexi dragons, no Spider-Man masks, no 1000th iteration of the same highland cow miniature. There are thousands of talented people in the 3D printing world who make amazing decorative models and novelty ornaments, and they're great at it, but that's not what I do. Every design I share or sell has to justify its existence by doing something useful.

I got tired of wheelie bins being blown over or moved by the wind, so I designed a simple wall or fence mounted restraint that holds the bin by the handle and releases with a pull-down action. Hopefully, some of you will find this useful.

I was a bit sick of my 18650 batteries being loose while not on charge for my vape, so I quickly put together this little holder. I know there are similar ones already on MakerWorld and elsewhere, but where's the fun in not designing your own. STL, STP and F3D files shared for anyone who wants to modify it to suit their needs.
