This is exactly what you're looking for. Hands down the best designed AMS rear desiccant holder. I have no idea why every other designer places the lid on the narrow edge requiring you to use a funnel in order to refill it. Not only is it great seeing someone place the lid on the wide side, but the approach taken for the mesh provides superior air-flow while simultaneously preventing smaller desiccant from slipping through.

I've printed and tested a lot of different filament clips this week, so I figured I should share my conclusions, suggestions, and recommendations with any who are interested. The attached images show which ones I tested, the tests I did for this specific clip, and my notes summary table. My objective was to find a clip that I could load from the side to avoid having to loosen the spool if the clip didn't line up with where the end of the filament was, and that didn't interfere with the AMS while printing. This was the only one I didn't need an Allen wrench to remove, it's also the only one which met all of my requirements and passed every test. I have zero design notes/suggestions. This is the pinnacle of filament clip design and if they can hold up under regular use, it's going to be my primary clip for all of my spools. A+ design!

This one didn't meet all of my requirements, but it did pass every test for the situations it was designed to work in. It's also nice having a few clips on hand that can work with any spool and are more easily transferable. This one isn't going to be my primary clip, but it's definitely one I'm going to be keeping nearby for quick swaps and alternative spools.

My objective was to find a clip that I could load from the side to avoid having to loosen the spool if the clip didn't line up with where the end of the filament was, and that didn't interfere with the AMS while printing. I suggest using an Allen wrench to remove them by pushing in on the pegs from the outside of the spool. I was unable to install several due to the pegs being too large and I also found they can interfere with the AMS guide rails intermittently. This one has the worst clearance of any that I tested at 6.17mm, but the chamfer on the edges helps compensate for that by guiding the spool over the rails. I suggest decreasing the peg diameter by .15mm and the clip height by .25mm

It also has the lowest overall clearance of any that I tested at 4.85mm, so if you don't mind the feed through style loading design, then this would be my #1 recommendation.

Exactly what I was looking for. 1. Doesn't need tape 2. Doesn't require or replace the stock lid This would be perfect if held the swatches more securely so that they don't fall out anytime you open the container.

Does what it says on the tin and fits perfectly. No notes.
