🦶 3D Printed Orthotic Insoles – Looking for Feedback! 🦶
Hey MakerWorld community!
I’m a certified orthotic technician currently working on my thesis about the use of 3D printing in custom insole production. I’m experimenting with VarioShore TPU, aiming to create variable-density insoles with different comfort zones (softer heel, supportive arch, stiffer forefoot).
These are some of my latest prototypes, printed on a Bambu Lab P1P using lattice-style infill to fine-tune flexibility and responsiveness across different foot areas.
🛠️ I’d love to hear your thoughts:
• Any slicing tips or recommended infill patterns?
• Anyone with experience printing soft TPU with variable hardness?
• Suggestions for improving comfort, grip or long-term durability?
• Feel free to share modified models or test ideas!
If anyone’s interested, I can also share the 3D model (.STL) and my current print settings.
