I love this! I printed it in my granddaughter's favorite colors, and will be giving it today for her birthday. It now works perfectly, after I had a few issues. I had some 4x2 magnets already, and when I first tried using them, I couldn't get the box to consistently stay closed. I thought it might be because my magnets were too weak and that the lid's magnets were spaced too far away from the boxes floating magnets. After several experiments, including printing the lid pins at a reduced height, I noticed that there was some stringing on the bottom of the holes on the lid. That prevented the floating pins from sliding freely. Once removed, it worked!
I printed the alternative spinning handle, and had a hard time getting it to rotate. A pair of pliers around a protective cloth did the trick to loosen it. I think the spinning handle is by far a better way to go. That way you're always holding the top and can lift up when you hear the "click" of the floating pins as they fly outwards.

One of my favorite kits to build. At the time, by far the most challenging for me. Had a few issues, like the full length center spiral falling over ¾ of the way into the build. But got lots of support, and switched to the A1 Mini version that comes in two pieces. People are mesmerized by it!
Another issue I had was with some of the marbles sticking on the runs in a couple of places, and at the entrance to the "elevator spiral". The creator suggested some light sanding, and that took care of the problem.
I used a wood style PLA for the runs... I would not recommend this because it's not going to be as slick as other PLA filaments.

This was an easy print which I gave to our grandson on his birthday. There were some sticky places when the balls were dropping, but wearing them in a bit helped smooth it out.

This has been by far the most fun build I've tackled in my half year of 3D printing. Being a Star Wars fan (enough to have gotten a job at Lucasfilm for a decade), I wanted to have an droid of my own. I'm still not done. Model printed and assembled, electronics installed, but now I need to print/build the remote control. Other photos added as a comment. @Neebick's support was first rate when I ran into issues with the silk filament.
