My original Blendtec lid recently broke, and when I searched online for a replacement, I was surprised to find that most cost over $20. Annoyed, I decided to design my own lid to fit my blender, and I’ve been using it ever since. Since then, I’ve kept improving the design, making the seal better and even optimizing it to be dishwasher safe. Best of all, it only takes about $0.40 of filament to print, so it’s a super cheap replacement.

This issue was quickly solved by adding side vents to help stabilize the internal pressure.
