Need to transfer filament from one reel to another for a friend? Want to split your filament onto another reel for a second printer? Then the Drill to Filament Reel Adapter is for you! Not sold in any store this adapter fits directly on the end of your power drill (supports multiple sizes) and then inserts directly into your spool (also supporting multiple sizes).&nbsp;I designed this after watching Angus' YT Video use a piece of foam in one of his recent videos. I also wanted to share some filament with a friend and this works perfectly. &nbsp;I printed this in TPU and I suggest you do the same. The TPU grips better than traditional PLA will. <a target="_blank" href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VKSCMTS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=rwmech-20&linkId=03f27041255c803d1f67c4f06bcec599&language=en_US" rel="nofollow noopener">Here is the link to the filament I used</a>.&nbsp;Since this is round if you don't have extrusion issues you can print this safely at 60-80mm/s I personally printed it at 80mm/s on my Ender 3 perfectly.&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNZgn_G2EuM" rel="nofollow noopener">You can watch the YouTube on this as well</a> &nbsp;Need more help building this? This print-in-place locking bag clip has been designed so that it can be printed without supports, has a fun curvy shape, uses an outward angled handle for easier one-handed use, and is a nice size at just under 6 cm when closed.<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/user/3485677045/draft/2023-09-21_kei37ynb43g3.gif"></figure>I'd recommend you set the “Strength→ Wall Loops" option to at least 5 for increased strength. In addition to the STL, I'm also attaching the Fusion360 file if you'd like to make adjustments.&nbsp;The original “Cam Lock Bag Clip.stl” (which I'd still recommend you start with if you're printing in PLA) is designed with a .2 mm tolerance around the pivot joints. If you have trouble with the plastic fusing in your print conditions though or are printing in other materials - such as PETG, I've now also attached two versions that increase the spacing tolerance slightly (.3 mm and .4 mm) which you could use as an alternative.&nbsp;This is a complete from-scratch design, but there are many great cam locking clips. Although notably different, I've marked this model as a remix of the very cool model that ‘jfedor’ did which used a similar approach for making a clip printable without requiring supports (which itself was a remix of Andrei's popular version that does require supports).

For your tree trimming this year, here is a set of four spinning Christmas ornaments. The rings spin freely around familiar Christmas scenes: an evergreen tree, an angel, a snowman, and a cozy house.<ul><li>No AMS needed for multi-colour rings; they can be printed separately! Mix and match colours to your heart's content!</li><li>All ornaments are AMS ready and pre-painted</li><li>Solid colour versions are included as well and look just as good!</li></ul><h3>Trouble? Please don't hesitate to get in touch!</h3><h2>Merry Christmas!</h2><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/381938/2023-11-19_c8d27404379f3.png"></figure><h2>Printing Tips</h2><ul><li>Print Settings: My print profiles contain all my recommended settings (see below for more detail) as well as plates for:<ul><li>Full multicolour ornaments and rings</li><li>Separate multicolour scenes</li><li>Separate solid colour scenes</li><li>Separate Ring sets</li></ul></li><li>Filament: The ornaments look nicest when printed with Silk or Sparkle filaments (see About the Model below for brands/colours that I used)</li><li>Purge volumes: I've calibrated them to reduce waste, but you may need to recalculate for your own filament</li><li>Plate: A textured plate is recommended because of the texture it gives to the bottom of the ornaments. Be sure your plate is extra clean to ensure success because the rings have a small footprint.</li><li>Ironing: ironing makes the top surface look nicer but can add a lot of time to the print. Feel free to experiment with it if you'd like a better top finish.</li></ul><h2>Separating the Rings</h2>Separate the rings by rotating the ring (or scene) perpendicular to the rest of the ornament. Grab the edge and gently pull down. It should flex and release from the retaining hole at the top. To combine the rings, simply reverse the process.<h2>Print Settings</h2><ul><li>Elephant foot compensation: 0 (it helps the rings stick better because they already have a narrow footprint)</li><li>Wall loops: 4 (to make stronger rings surface)</li><li>Detect thin walls: On (fills in better)</li><li>First layer speed: 15 mm/s (helps things stick better and not be dragged)</li><li>Brim: none</li></ul><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/381938/2023-11-19_c8d27404379f3.png"><h2>About the Model</h2>There's something magical about print-in-place models.
