I'm a mechanical engineer by day. On the side I tune and repair pianos. Most importantly, I'm a happy husband and father. I have a profile on this website, so you already know that I love 3D printing and design.

This is my submission for the cardboard spool contest. It seems like a fun way to re-use spools while creating an interesting decoration for your home. Enjoy watching this intricate sculpture print with all of the criss-crossing lines.

Presenting the Wireframe Pitcher! This is a pitcher that doesn't hold water. But it could certainly hold some M&M's if you wanted it to. I find this to be a pleasing-to-look-at decoration and conversation starter. While complex and impractical, I'm thinking this opens the door to a lot of wireframe models...stay tuned!

Presenting the Joystick Labyrinth. This is the result of a few weeks of designing. I had a goal to create a platform that could be controlled by tilting a joystick and I'm very happy with how it turned out. Maze-plates can be interchanged to create different challenges, and the simple design allows for users to create their own challenges as well.

I had this idea several months ago when I thought it might be possible to print an icosahedron net that could be folded together. As I developed a latch that could hold everything together, the whole project bloomed into creating all of the platonic solids with the earth mapped to their surfaces. A very fun project and a very satisfying final product.
