Bio
Computer guy into photography, technology in general, 3D design, 3D printing, reading, writing and haiku!
I have 49 designs on Thingiverse. 28 on Printables. And exactly 4 on MakerWorld - which is literally my printer's native platform. Today I published my 4th MakerWorld model and I have to ask: am I the only one who finds this exhausting? So many hoops. So many restrictions, limitations, red flags, verification steps. I made something small and joyful - a tiny connector so two LEGO plants can finally hold hands - and sharing it felt like filing taxes.Printables? I made a thing, I shared a thing, people printed the thing. Done. 🩷I get that MakerWorld is trying to protect the community. I respect that. But the determined bad actors you're worried about? They'll jump through every hoop. The rest of us just want to share a little pink handshake connector and get back to our birds. Anyone else feel this way? 🌱🤝🌱
Do you find MakerWorld's submission process discouraging enough that you've held back from sharing your own designs?
